NH’s economic competitiveness is deeply connected to the stability of the regional energy market, overall energy costs, and policy changes. BIA’s annual New Hampshire Energy Symposium provides business leaders with the latest insights on the state and region’s evolving energy policy landscape with panels of leading experts, policymakers, and key officials. As we look towards the future, the BIA supports New Hampshire strengthening the competitiveness and stability of its energy policies through using an "all-of-the-above" approach to developing new energy sources, strategies, and technologies.

8:45 – 9:30 – How Innovation Can Expand New Hampshire’s Energy Generation Capacity

Expanding New Hampshire’s ability to generate energy at scale is a surefire pathway to increasing reliability and lower energy costs. A nuclear energy renaissance, advances in battery technology, and renewal energy at scale offer the state exciting new opportunities to expand energy generation.

9:45 – 10:30 – New Hampshire’s Energy Policy Regulatory Landscape

Innovation and growth in the energy sector relies on stable, sound, and pragmatic regulatory environment and public policy. Key policy and regulatory leaders share their insights, philosophies, and priorities as New Hampshire’s energy landscape evolves.

10:30 – 11:15 – ISO New England Regional Energy Market Update

As the regional system operator, ISO New England is responsible for keeping electricity flowing across the six New England states and ensuring that the region has reliable, competitively priced wholesale electricity.
