BIA 2021 New Hampshire Energy Symposium Webinar Series, presented by Eversource

Tuesday, December 14, 2021 9:00 AM - Wednesday, December 15, 2021 12:00 PM (EST)

Description

New Hampshire’s energy policies are a constant topic of debate at the State House in Concord. If not handled correctly, energy policy can exacerbate our current energy crisis with increased energy prices and reduced reliability. Such outcomes put Granite State businesses, particularly manufacturers which drive the state’s economy, at a competitive disadvantage in domestic and international markets. Electricity prices in New Hampshire are already 50-60% higher than the national average year-round. Policies which force heavy reliance on emerging energy technology may increase electric rates and place system reliability at risk.

Workshops scheduled will include the 2021/2022 winter energy outlook; workshops focusing on energy storage; workshops exploring how some New Hampshire companies are moving to sustainable energy; panel discussions exploring what the future looks like from an energy perspective; and, an update from the newly created NH department of energy and NH Public Utilities Commission.
