Burke joins BIA as manager of public policy & advocacy

CONCORD — The Business & Industry Association, New Hampshire’s statewide chamber of commerce and leading business advocate, announced the addition of DJ Burke to its staff in the role of manager of public policy and advocacy.

Burke will serve as an integral part of the policy team and be responsible for advancing the policy priorities of the BIA and engaging members in the advocacy work of the organization. A core function of this role will be to lobby on behalf of the BIA and its members in legislative and regulatory arenas on key business issues, including workforce development, housing, energy and environmental affairs, taxes and regulations, and employment law.

BIA represents over 400 member companies in a variety of industries that employ over 100,000 people throughout the state and contribute $5 billion annually to New Hampshire’s economy.

DJ previously served as a fundraising consultant, working on Governor Ayotte’s election campaign, as well as various other election efforts in New Hampshire and beyond. Before that he served as Finance Director for the NHGOP and as Field Director for NH Victory.

He earned a B.S. in finance from Providence College in Rhode Island. He currently resides in Nottingham
