BIA announces recipients of 2025 Lifetime Achievement, NH Advantage awards

CONCORD — The Business and Industry Association announced the 2025 recipients of its Lifetime Achievement and New Hampshire Advantage awards to be bestowed at its 112th Annual Dinner and Awards Celebration, presented by Eversource, Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Lifetime Achievement honorees are retiring United States Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Tim Sink, outgoing president & CEO of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, and Alexander Walker, former president & CEO of Catholic Medical Center.

The celebration is from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Manchester. BIA’s premier event draws up to 700 business, political and opinion leaders from around the state and is considered New Hampshire’s largest business networking event.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes business leaders who demonstrate a commitment to leadership in their professions, communities and New Hampshire. Recipients help shape their communities and the state through successful business endeavors, participation in civic organizations, involvement in boards and service to local and state government.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen is a trailblazer in American politics making history as the first woman in the nation to be elected both Governor and U.S. Senator. Over more than three decades in office, she has been a steadfast advocate for New Hampshire, working to grow the state’s economy, expand access to affordable healthcare, support veterans and military families, and protect the environment.

Tim Sink, retiring President & CEO of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, has been a driving force for more than three decades in strengthening the local business community, fostering economic growth, and advancing initiatives that have made Concord and the Capital Region a more vibrant place to live and work. Tim is the longest tenured chamber executive in New Hampshire and is a mentor, role model, and teacher to all his industry peers.

Alexander Walker is a distinguished and dedicated business leader who has made a lasting impact on our state’s business, healthcare, and nonprofit communities. Alex’s leadership journey includes key several executive roles at Catholic Medical Center before ultimately serving as President & CEO. Previously, Alex also served as President & CEO of Devine Millimet, a leading NH law firm. Beyond his corporate roles, Alex has generously served on numerous civic and educational boards, including Granite United Way, the Palace Theatre, the Greater Manchester Chamber, and as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the University System of New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Advantage Award celebrates businesses, organizations or projects that enhance the Granite State’s special character and quality of life in meaningful ways. The recipient of this year’s NH Advantage Award is Swim With A Mission.

Founded in 2017, Swim With A Mission is dedicated to honoring and supporting veterans, service members, and their families. Under the leadership of founders Phil and Julie Taub and an engaged network of Board members and volunteers, the organization has raised millions of dollars through its signature community events, including its annual open-water swim on Newfound Lake and Navy SEAL demonstrations. The funds directly support veteran service organizations that provide critical resources such as housing, healthcare, service dogs, job training, and mental health support.
